Teams from three different churches (in Taichung, Chicago and Detroit) united together to conduct two evangelistic English camps in Tian Wei, Taiwan. The first week forty students attended the camp at a local high school and the second week, another one hundred participated.
The days were long and full but filled with blessing. Strong, bonding relationships developed between the team and the students. Most importantly God did a great work in the hearts of students. During the two weeks at least fifty-five of the students professed faith in Christ alone as their Savior. Yes, fifty-five! A church in Tian wei will follow-up with each one.
Bibles were given to all students who requested one. One worker stated, “It was great to see a student reading the Bible on his own.”
The school was very thankful for everyone serving in the school for two weeks. The principal and other leaders even hosted a dinner for the whole team including those from the Taichung church. That same evening the team was dining in a restaurant and the mayor of the city happened to be there and the whole team got to meet him. The team hopes that through these relationships more opportunities to share the gospel will be opened.
